Major Release UBI 6.0 (July 2017)

August 14, 2017

One month into new fiscal year and the University Business Intelligence (UBI) reporting environment continues delivering reporting outcomes across UVA with remarkable accuracy and quickness. Earlier in July, the UBI Team delivered UBI 5.0, packed with new modules and enhancements. We are pleased to announce that the 6th major UBI release is here - UBI 6.0! As the 2017-18 academic year approaches, UBI 6.0 keeps the pace within the Student Information System (SIS) areas – adding three new SIS modules to the software. Also included in the 6.0 Release is a new GL module as well as important updates to existing GA and GL modules. All new and existing modules within UBI are available to those users with the appropriate access.

GL Users, please be aware that the GL_Details -FY01-FY05, GL_Details -FY06-FY10, and GL_Details -FY11-FY15 modules will be unavailable after September 15, 2017. Replacing those 3 modules (while containing the same data) is a new module, GL_Details_All_Years. Any bookmarks and/or MySheet objects will need to be recreated in the new module.

Please find the UBI 6.0 release notes, QRGs, and trainings available on the UBI Community. Keep watch for future UBI updates happening soon!

New modules and enhancements to existing modules with UBI 6.0 are as follows:

  • SIS_SF_Item Details
  • SIS_Class_Scheduling

  • GL_Details_All_Years* (Combines/replaces all GL history details from FY2001 to present)

  • GL_Details_All_Years* (See above; will also replace 3 GL Details history modules)
  • GL_Details_Recon (enhancement)
  • GA_Details_Current (enhancement)
  • GA_Reference (bug fix)

  • Discoverer GA, GL, LD reporting - August 31, 2017
  • Discoverer SIS reporting - December 31, 2017
